What is the process?
We schedule complimentary initial consultations on site to determine your needs and a logical process to accomplish your goals. We can discuss budgets and ballpark prices at this point. If no design is needed, estimates are free.
If you have a project in mind, call or email to schedule an appointment. Try to be ready with a copy of your plat or survey of the property and any photos of things you like. (or hate).
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we have a Maryland Home Improvement Contractors license and carry liability, truck and workers compensation insurance. Our employees are w-2 not independent contractors and we will let you know ahead of time if any of your project will include subcontractors.
Do you charge for designs?
We charge to draw any planting plans. Hardscaping plans may involve design fees or may just be part of an estimate. The hourly rate for design work is $150 per hour as of 2024.
Do you provide landscape maintenance?
Yes, we provide spring and fall landscape clean ups or monthly maintenance visits. These can include; pruning, edging, mulching, weeding, leaf and debris removal, planting evaluations and annual rotations. This includes planted areas and trees up to 15 ft high.
Do you cut grass?
No, we don't mow lawns or provide lawn treatments.
Are there materials you will not use?
We will not plant invasive plants such as barberry and burning bush. We encourage the use of natives but are not limited to them exclusively unless you request them. We will not install landscape fabric in planting beds, rubber mulch or red dyed mulch. We don't treat plants with pesticides.
